Me a Rib?

Oh, if we were talking about being a Famous Daves rib. I could pass, plumb, plenty of fat for flavor. But no. The next Wife's Biblical submission lesson is about the Wife being the Husband's rib.

What a responsibility. One I must say up front I have failed at it 100%. Well in the beginning I did better, maybe 25%. I do not know only God and my husband could really say. I do know how it all spiraled down.

I trust no man. I was going to go into great detail how I have been hurt by men since conception. But I must face the truth I run men off. It is called self preservation. If I chase them off it is easier to deal with than if they just leave. Ohhhh, there is that word again (root word).

Selfishness.

Yep! That is what started it all. So other than to say. Read the lessons. Heed the instruction. Read this list of 10 ways to lose your domestic happiness. And to any woman that loves to talk (are you laughing because I am) say nothing to your husband that you have not prayed in depth about. I mean it. Take it from a woman who has spent more time being injurious to my husband than what God meant. You may need to keep your mouth shut for days. I believe the scripture is, better to live on the house top than with a __________ wife. (Purposely left empty). Dawn

Dearest Dawn,

It is good to see you another step into this study. I pray every day that you will be as blessed as I have been through this wonderful Biblical submission. God is so good to us in His plans for us, but that wicked devil seeks to destroy us.

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

But you can cast all your care upon him; for he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

…they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
Psalm 34: 10 & 15

Satan wants us to believe submission is degrading, but that is where we will find true joy.

Sunny showed me the KEY:
“Don't allow Satan to overwhelm you with feeling that YOU have to do everything....b/c you don't. All you have to do is mortify your sin nature and allow Christ to fill you with His holy and pure love.”

1 John 1:4-5
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Dear Father, Please bless your precious Dawn today, in Jesus’ name. Amen

Love you, Dawn!
Ernestine

I was so afraid to even read the lesson. About 2 years ago I devoured books and tried to implement their solutions. I just figured that was going to be this study's way.

What a pleasant surprise. I must agree it is a Biblical Study. I have know for years I must be right with God before I can be right with earthly relationships. Dawn

Hey there sister Dawn!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get here! I'm old...and sometimes that makes me reeeaaalllly sllloooowww. :-) But better late than never! :-)

As usual, our sister Ernestine have offered some wonderfully biblical exhortation!

And wow! Thank you so much for your transparency and willingness to face your "monster of pride" like we all have. We'll have to keep beating that awful flesh down until it's so little we can barely hear it's call...and only hear our Savior's voice lead us into all righteousness and pure living...for His glory alone!

Love you precious sister!
Sunny

P.S. thank you for the link to Domestic Felicity. I'll read it in more detail later when I have more time. Right now, I'm now, I'm just trying to catch up. :-)
